30% of European workers in open plan offices feel their workplace layout has a negative impact on their productivity levels, compared to only 11% of workers in private offices.  Companies need to rethink office design to improve worker productivity –  32% feel hot desking has a positive impact on their productivity levels, though 30% believe it has a negative impact.  37% of Europe’s office workers would find a workplace smartphone app useful.  12% of workers reported that their workplace has an overall negative impact on their mental health.
